The Reading Workbook is aimed at Teachers and Reading leaders to develop reading consistency in their schools.

Based on expertise developed across Transform Trust Schools, we have separated reading provision into three main areas: Reading for Knowledge, Reading Fluency and Reading for pleasure. Within each of these headings is the research distilled, examples of good practice, auditing and reflection tools and how reading fits into and informs the wider curriculum.

There are key resources to use across year groups, and things to consider as a classroom practitioner. For Reading leaders, there is a toolkit included to structure implementing change within schools, thinking around various activities to undertake as a leader in school.

Throughout the booklet is reflection points and things to consider as a leader when embedding a consistent approach to reading across the Primary Phase.

Included in this booklet are the Transform Reading Standards from Y1-6 and Pre-Key stage. These can be used to assess and moderate judgements in school.
