Introduction

Transform focussed on leadership at all levels in order to embed leadership and enable more people to find the leadership identity and muscle. We recognise that being at our best is crucial to being successful and enjoying our work Our ‘Applied’ leadership study told us that learning together accelerates our development progress so our tried and tested approach of leader strategy days will continue this tradition, introducing a new programme theme.

Leading Teams; Built on Trust - why chose this topic?

If the last six months have taught us anything then we know that our teams need to be even more aligned, more connected, more trusting, more accountable to each other. We believe in the power of community and collective efficacy. We’ve learnt how important a good team is and the consequences if it isn’t working. A focus on leading teams shows us the true interconnected nature of leadership. This programme is about understanding and unpicking the knowledge, skills and behaviours we need as leaders to be successful in this area.

The programme

Leadership Plain & SImple only touches on using the FED model in a team in the last chapter. We will expand and deepen this thinking using two additional texts to stretch our thinking within our established community. We will focus on what leading teams really means, how we understand and build real trust together. And share and maximise this learning resulting from the unique challenges of COVID-19 from and with colleagues from other sectors. AS this is Leadership Applied there will beour unique blend of tools, models, activities, lead learners, concrete examples and time to think and plan together.
