The Writing Leadership booklet has been created following a two year project with primary writing leaders exploring, the leadership of, and best practice in writing instruction.

This booklet has been created to support leaders of writing in the primary classroom in providing key resources and strategies to support their development at each stage of their leadership journey. It is aimed at leaders looking to develop clarity and confidence in leading their subject, whilst pursuing evidence-informed practices for improving outcomes for their children.

The booklet provides resources that explore writing leadership, starting with a focus on vision and intent and how this is implemented across the school to how this is then monitored for impact in a continuous improvement cycle.
